Its that time of the month again....BEAUTY BOX time.
Postie brought me a nice pile today
Ok im not greedy, yes there is 2 glossyboxes, but i had a half price code so i bought one, but i forgot i had already used glossydots for a free one lol.
Also receieved my Latest in Beauty YOU box and the R&R box
Plus some models own make up from a magazzine subscription and 2 free Opi from signing up to glamour magazine (more on these later in this post)
So Glossybox. seen some quite bad reviews, and it seems to be from the box i got or the people who got the stick on nails. Ok i would have loved to get the Bella, and yes at first look this box is not exciting, however i am happy with it as i will use all the products but 2. i feel the beauty boxes get a bad time of it, i mean we pay for samples. thats what we get! Mostly people moan saying too much make up, not enough make up etc.
At least this box is has 1 of each thing really. people who like hair products can be happy, people who like lotions, make up etc etc lol.
Only things i wont use is the hair product as i have very sensitive scalp due to psoriasis , and i dont like hand lotion as i have bad allergys so anything with a strong smell will make me sneeze all day lol

Duwop Venom Gloss in Buttercup 5ml
Dr Bronner Magic Liquid Soap 59ml
Paul Mitchell Round Trip 25ml
BM Beauty Mineral eyeshadow dusty road 1g
Como Shambhala Invigorate Body Lotion 25ml
The Duwop gloss is yummy, and makes the lips tingle so a bit of plumping going on, very neutral colour. I will use this alot
The liquid soap is not very exciting but it will get use, kids especially and the hubby will use it. i got one in peppermint and the one in the other box is tea tree
the mineral eyeshadow i got the same colour in both boxes. dusty road which is a pale peach, will swap one as i have loads of shadows, but quite excited to try a 'mineral' one
the body lotion and hair product i will not try. i smelled the lotion and started sneezing lol
All in all i am happy with it and 2 boxes cost me less than £8 so cant complain.

i always sub to magazines when they have free gifts on. Glamour has a good one every mth. 6 magazines for £6 and a free gift. Most times i sub every mth just for the gift. its usually well worth the £6 plus i get the mags as a bonus. I get 3 glamour mags a mth lol. but they come in handy for lining the guinea pigs cage out...

I hate myglossybox unfortunately. I was excited the try dr Bronners soap but I got lavender which I hate!! :(

Thought my glossybox was a bit bleurgh. But then I didn't get mine for half price - I paid £12.95 for a box worth £17.80 (saved £4.85). I am very happy I didn't get the nails though.
ReplyDeleteDisappointed that they still send different value boxes out. My full size item (the Dr Bronner magic soap) was worth £1.99, yet there is another glossy box out there with a full size item worth £20.
One Glossyboxer has posted her box was worth £35. Nearly double the value of my box!
Yes it is unfair. i think they should def make the boxes more of the same value. if i got the lower value box every mth i ould not be happy, but i havent and this mth i was just happy i didnt get the nails.
